While we are all about new music here at 412 (MUST HAVE MORE!!!! lol) we also can't resist a classic act. We especially can't resist acts that helped to define and progress whole genres or areas of music. Therefore when we see a poster for the Norman Jay Sound System in Brighton, there's only one thing we want to do... and that's tell everyone else we possibly can... so if you didn't hear that... Tragedy At Love Parade Festival |

Love Parade in Germany is one of the biggest festivals in europe with a regular attendance of well over one million people. The festival has been running since 1989 and was started as a celebration of the Berlin wall coming down. This year the festival was moved from it's traditional home in Berlin to a smaller location in Duisberg. Many are blaming the move to a smaller venue for the unfortunate deaths of 19 people on the weekend. At least another 100 people were seriously injured in the incident. |

Who remembers the 80's computer generated film Tron? OK... dumb question. Well then who's heard of those french electro pioneers Daft Punk? Yeah another stupid question I know... So who knew that Daft Punk were doing the soundtrack for the new Tron film? A few of you no doubt but for those that didn't know I'm sure this will come as interesting news. Ministry Of Sound Sue Suspected Filesharers |

Ministry of Sound have decided to join in the anti-piracy mission this month, having sent out over 2000 letters to people who they believe have illegally downloaded their music. The letters are demanding anywhere between £300 to £1,200 from them and saying if they don't pay up they will be taken to court. So if you've downloaded one of their tracks then be very wary - you may be getting a seriously worded letter in the post soon. Or alternatively, like everyone else, you could ignore it and get on with your life. |

Electric Daisy Carnival Riots |

The Electric Daisy Carnival - or EDC for short - is one of North America's biggest music festivals and featured big name acts like Moby, Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx, Sasha, Deadmau5, Infected Mushroom and a whole load more too long and varied to mention. This year though they got themselves well and truly in to some deep shit. The festival was plagued with fence jumping problems, people getting crushed and taken to hospital... and to make it worse.. a 15 year old girl who wasn't even supposed to be at the festival ended up dying. Whoops. |

Underworld Playing One-Off Gig To Launch Album |

One of my biggest regrets from Glade 2009 was missing Underworld. Of all the acts to miss I think that was one of those once in a lifetime situations that I probably should have tried harder to attend. After staying up the night before and filling my brain with nefarious chemicals - my head and legs had other intentions... mainly falling over and passing out. It's good to hear though that many like me now have another opportunity to experience them live - albeit not within the beautiful Glade surroundings. |
