412 takes pride in bringing exclusive labels to the Brighton fashion scene. One of the biggest success stories has been a label most people recognise and associate with the late 70’s and early 80’s. The label in question is the iconic “Farah”. Damian Rickman the founder of 412 quotes: Farah is the most talked about label in store. It’s the Ice breaker for most of my customers over the 25 bracket. Everyone remembers the slacks when they were at school. The vintage range out now is still quite similar to the original designs from the 80’s but with a few twists and tweaks. They have released a collection that has gained a very loyal following without becoming too main stream. As the indie scene seems to be crossing over with the mod scene in terms of fashion, Farah seems to be enjoying a revival in a big way.
We have definitely brought back the label and made it fashionable again, well in Brighton anyway. I did start to see a little trend going on in some of the East End bars around Hoxton. So I thought it’s only time before this catches on in Brighton, and sure enough it has in a big way. In store we stock a full range Farah, albeit apart from the slacks. Although we do get asked on the odd occasion for the trousers, it’s not often enough to warrant stoking them. Everything waist up including polo’s, shirts, cardigans, jackets, tracks tops are available though. There is a good selection from the Autumn/Winter 09 range but it sells quickly.
