My passion for art grew with regular trips to London Galleries in my teens culminating with the Sensations exhibition that shocked me into submission and the world of art begun to make sense to me. It opened my eyes in humanly wide to the possibilities and avenues artists can take, from patchwork to comic books, street art to sculpture. I watched many artists grow up in front of me during my years of study. To me they reached far beyond the pages of any book and the walls of any Gallery, they became my visual friends.

Over achieving well that sounds great! But for now I am more than happy leaving behind the safe and mundane world of secondary school art teacher and chasing my dreams. I have launched myself into a full time role as a painter and feel my journey has just begun.
My media is always mixed, as too are my sources of inspiration and reference. Loving my new home, Brighton, I have taken great pleasure in exploring its diversity, landscape and vibrant community. People and culture continue to influence my art, the shoes I wear and the food I eat, this will always be a theme I revisit. The future is nothing more than an extension of the present. I will continue to make stuff, continue to illustrate books, embrace my painting and seek out opportunities.
What more can I say, I am a Pisces.

I relocated to Lewes to pursue my artwork, change my life style and embrace my new creative setting. I take inspiration from my surrounding and fund myself mostly through my artist endeavours. I hope overtime to establish my artwork and have a studio space in which to paint and draw on a daily basis.
Exhibitions opportunities
Barbers shop
Several smaller images from my series of my artwork entitled botanical graffiti were on show for the months of Febuary and March in a trendy male barbers in the North Laines. This was part of a business initiative to showcase local artist and create a fresh look.
Moksha Caffe
After applying for a show last month in my favourite coffee house in Brighton, my exhibition will be shown 6th July - 3rd August accompanied by a photography show.
Artwave 2009
I have teamed up with a good friend to have an open house and be a part of Artwave. We are using the property (and the surrounding woodland) we share as our setting and inspiration. This I feel is a great way to get involved and share in one of Lewes' very successful and creative ideas.
Additional roles and interests
Book illustrations
My artwork is very diverse from abstract to illustrative.
The first of which was a novel entitled 'The tales of Fatman's brother' this has just been published and involved working with the authors words and creating a total of 16 illustrations and a front/back cover and spine. The next book is underway and I am to begin the process and creative relationship again.
Mailmeart, begun as a competition online and later became a publication. The task was to send an image through the post that in corporate the destinations address in an expressive and creative way. I was selected and featured in the book alongside internationally acclaimed illustrators.
